FAQs

We provide Professionally Assisted Transport, commonly known as Non-Emergency Medical Transportation or “NEMT”. These are "non-emergency" situations, where rider is medically stable, but still in need of additional transportation assistance. We provide service to wheelchair or stretcher bound individuals who require transport to and from doctor appointments, dialysis, rehab, or relocating to a new residence or facility; as well as those who can ambulate (walk) with assistance, or use a cane or walker.

Ambulances and other emergency transport vehicles are used when the goal of the transport is to get the patient from one location to another while offering medical support. We excel at providing a cost effective transport for those who do not require medical support.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911.

Q&A

Who all uses your services? Patients and residents in Hospitals, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Hospices, Rehabilitation Centers, and In-Home Care Services as well as Private-Pay individuals all use PrimeCare as a safe, cost effective method to transport their residents, patients and clients. We handle admits, discharges, doctor appointments, dialysis, chemo, relocations as well as family events. If your facility uses some other provider, ask them (Case Workers, Social Services, DONs) about using PrimeCare.

Q&A

Why should I choose PrimeCare? Just ask around. Word of mouth is our strongest sales point. We have a repeat customer rate of about 90%. Even after being discharged, families call us to continue transporting their loved ones. PrimeCare is the most trusted name in Patient & Senior Transportation. We have worked very hard to gain that reputation and our dedicated staff and compassionate drivers work hard everyday to maintain it.

Q&A

What are your hours of operation? 6am - 8pm, 7 days a week (but with notice, we can schedule just about any trip, any day, any where). Complete our online Trip Request Form or call our Primary Dispatch number to get an accurate quote and make sure we can work you into our schedule

With PrimeCare, when a trip is scheduled at least 24 hours ahead of time, our on-time rate is > 99% and our average return-ride pick-up is less than 30 mins. Delays do occur (traffic, road conditions, construction), but we proactively monitor all our Drivers and trips to be as efficient as possible.

Q&A

Do passengers have to be a “patient”? Absolutely not. We take people to family events, airports, reunions, funerals, weddings, even hair appointments.
